Youth get a closer look at the jobs that keep their community running. They’ll learn how different careers help meet people’s needs, how money moves between homes and businesses, and what tools and skills are needed to get the job done.

Program Details

Youth explore the careers that power their community. They dig into how different roles meet people’s needs, how money flows between homes and businesses, and the tools and skills that help workers succeed.

About Our Community

  • Program length: 2-6 hours 
  • Program format: In-class or online 
  • Supports curriculum: Math, language, social studies 
  • Provided resources: A physical kit or resources for activities/games*

What will youth do and learn?

  • Practice interview questions to learn more about different jobs 
  • Create a list of needs that different jobs may help achieve in the community
  • Discuss how money is earned and spent in various scenarios 
  • Brainstorm some common tools used in different jobs
