Youth learn what a business is, how businesses make a profit, and how they benefit communities. They explore why businesses evolve and what it means to be an entrepreneur.

Program Details

In this program, youth discover how businesses operate, make money, and contribute to stronger communities. They also learn how entrepreneurs identify needs and create solutions that drive change.

About Our Business World

  • Program length: 2-6 hours

  • Explore the connection between businesses and communities
  • Play a board game to identify how businesses meet the needs of their community 
  • Make connections between famous Canadian businesses and the types of products they sell 
  • Identify the difference between invention and innovation, and how it relates to entrepreneurship
